The Role

As a Principal Software Engineer you will create and enhance services on our platform. You will have a desire for delivering highquality software and driving our digitization and process automation efforts forward. You will also mentor team members to further grow their skills and expertise in BPM and other relevant technologies.

The Team

As part of the APS business unit within Fidelity Investments you will join a team of hardworking individuals tasked with building a platform on an opensource business process management (BPM) product and is at the forefront of automating workflows and digitizing business processes for our business partners. Your technical leadership is needed for us to drive our platforms evolution delivering highquality solutions and shaping the future of our automation ecosystem.

The Expertise you have

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / similar Extensive experience designing developing and maintaining robust and scalable digital services using Java related technologies.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with proficiency in Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated skill building containers and digital services in a serverless architecture using technologies like Docker Kubernetes AWS Lambda.
• Solid understanding of cloud providers preferably AWS to deploy and manage applications utilizing services such as S3 EC2 RDS EKS and Kafka.
• Experience managing a backlog of business requirements; gathering estimating and delivering work in coordination with multiple teams using platforms like JIRA.
• Deep knowledge of BPM and process orchestration tools like Camunda Appian IBM BPM or Pega and the platforms they are built on is preferred.
• Experience contributing to existing enterpriselevel opensource projects and collaborating to drive continuous improvement is a plus.
