We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AVS Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in VMware vSphere and HCX (Hybrid Cloud Extension) technologies with a strong track record of successfully migrating workloads to VMware Cloud on AWS (AVS). As an AVS Migration SME you will play a critical role in leading and executing complex migration projects for our clients

Requirements

Job Description

• 8 years of IT experience and minimum 2 years of experience on Azure VMware Solution and 4 years of experience on VMware vSphere Azure cloud services deployments and cloud migrations.
  
• To partner with Architects and service delivery teams to plan and implement infrastructure deployments and migrations for large enterprise customers moving customers from onpremises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.
  
• To work directly with customer application infrastructure and security stakeholders to define requirements for successful deployment & migrations.
  
• Maintain knowledge of the latest on Azure/AVS and VMware products in order to deploy and migrate services as per industry best practices.
  
• Share knowledge with others through technical documents and internal trainings.
  
• Relevant experience in implementing and migrating data center and cloud infrastructures using VMware and Microsoft technologies.
  
• Knowledge and implementation experience on VMware s Core Cloud Infrastructure
  
• Required VMware vSphere 6.0 and above.
  
• Required VMware NSXT network virtualization technologies.
  
• NSX edge services (DNS DHCP Gateway Firewall Distributed Firewall)
  
• NSX implementation
  
• NSX migration from vlan or NSXv
  
• Required VMware vSAN
  
• Required VMware HCX Advanced & Enterprise
  
• Preferred VMware Site Recovery Manager & vSphere Replication.
  
• Preferred VMware management suite (vCD vROps vRNI vRLI)

• Familiarity with security & compliance standards across a variety of enterprise IT landscapes.
  
• Experience with Azure Hosting or Infrastructure background and public cloud highly desired.
  
• A good understanding of datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed both Layer 2 and Layer 3 based is highly desired.
