CTO

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our newly established outsourced development team in Nigeria. The CTO will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects driving innovation and shaping our

technology strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of software development and emerging technologies. The candidate should be prepared for a handson approach as the company is

newly established.

The CTO will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Technical Leadership:

Provide technical direction and leadership to the development team.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies evaluating their potential for the company.

Project Oversight:

Oversee the development and delivery of highquality software solutions.

Ensure projects are completed on time within scope and budget.

Team Management:

Recruit mentor and manage a team of software developers and technical

professionals.

Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.

PreSales:

Support the sales process as a presales resource.

Technology Stack and Architecture:

Define and maintain the companys technology stack and architectural guidelines.

Ensure scalability security and reliability of software systems.

Quality Assurance and Best Practices:

Establish and enforce best practices for software development quality assurance

and testing.

Implement processes to maintain code quality and security.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate technical and security risks.

Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners.

Evaluate and select thirdparty tools and services when necessary.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage the technology budget including resource allocation and cost

control.

Optimize resource utilization for maximum efficiency.

Handson in projects when skills competencies and time are in sync with project

requirements.

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement a technology

roadmap aligned with business objectives.

Identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage through

technology.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a
  related field.
• Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role preferably in the software development industry.
  
• Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
  
• Indepth knowledge of software development architecture and cloud technologies.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Business English in writing and speaking.
  
• Business Process Understanding.
  
• Cultural Awareness
  
• Ability to align technology initiatives with business strategies.
  
• Familiarity with the local technology landscape and emerging trends in Nigeria.
  

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of compliance and security standards relevant to the industry.

Previous experience in startups or fastgrowing tech companies is a plus.

Experience in outsourcing or managing remote development teams.

Please note that the role is fully onsite Monday to Friday Mainland(Gbagada)
