Job Description: Surgical Technologist
Salary: USD $59321 to $94910
Location: Phoenixville PA
Hours: 7 am3:30 pm with Call/Holiday Rotation

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arrange and inventory sterile setup for operations.
• Hand items as needed to the operative team.
• Assist in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating rooms.
• Provide surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Work within a suite of 7 operating rooms covering various specialties including General Plastic/Reconstructive Obstetrics Gynecology Urology Podiatry Vascular/Endovascular ENT Orthopedic CardioThoracic Neurosurgery Urogynecology Gynecologic Surgical Oncology and Robotics.

Qualifications:

• Education Requirements: Post High School Diploma Program
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience Required.
• Certification and Licensure:
  • Successfully complete a program sponsored by an entity holding a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation and hold and maintain surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program.
  • Successfully complete an appropriate training program for surgical technologists in the US Army Navy or Air Force.
  • Provide evidence of maintaining a surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program being employed to practice as a surgical technologist by the healthcare facility on or before the effective date of this law (12/28/2020) or being employed to practice as a surgical technologist as the individuals primary function in another healthcare facility at any time during the two years immediately preceding the effective date of this law.
  • Must comply annually with continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the certified surgical technologist credential and provide proof of compliance with the health care facility upon request.
