Technical skills:

• The Java Developer (XStore POS) position is responsible for the development integration and implementation of XStore POS software in a service provider environment that supports the company business strategies and objectives.
  Position Requirements
• Knowledge & Experience
  5 years of IT experience.
• 5 years Java and Web Application development experience RESTful services.
• 2 years experience of Oracle XStore Point of Sale development.
• 3 years SQL and XML development
• 3 years experience in Relational Database Management Systems preferably Oracle.
• 2 years experience in SOA and Webservices.
• 2 years experience with Unixlike operating systems macOS or Linux preferred.
• Experience in Docker containers and Kubernetes is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review and conduct information systems needs assessment and recommend appropriate infrastructure solution
• Design and implement applications and enhancements using JAVA code
• Maintain and enhance applications per client request
• Assist with defining and implementing regression test suites
• Frequently analyze and define client data conversion interface and application enhancement requirements
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Establish and monitor systems support and development in a Micros environment
• Perform application enhancements and modifications while mentoring and teaching other consultants
• Facilitate the logging reporting and resolution of application issues as needed
• Regularly assist in the definition of implementation and integration alternatives
• Intermittently perform golive assessments to determine the readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
• Often provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3^rd party vendors (hardware software etc) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements
