Video Collaboration Engineer

Location: Holtsville NY (5 Days Onsite)

Job Description:

Design and implement endtoend video collaboration solutions including videoconferencing audio integration and content sharing platforms

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications for video collaboration systems.

Configure deploy and manage video conferencing hardware and software solutions ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Monitor and troubleshoot video collaboration systems to identify and resolve technical issues promptly minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Provide technical support to users addressing their inquiries and concerns related to video collaboration tools and systems.

Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure video collaboration solutions are integrated securely and comply with relevant security protocols.

Stay uptodate with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in video collaboration to recommend enhancements and improvements.

Develop and maintain documentation including user guides and technical manuals for video collaboration systems and processes.

Conduct training sessions for users to promote effective utilization of video collaboration tools and features.

Participate in the evaluation and selection of new video collaboration technologies and vendors.

Essential Skills:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Video Collaboration Engineer.

As a Video Collaboration Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing implementing and optimizing video collaboration solutions to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across our organization.

Your expertise will ensure that our video conferencing and collaboration platforms are reliable efficient and userfriendly enabling our teams to collaborate effectively both internally and externally.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA/CCNP Microsoft Teams Microsoft 365) a plus.

Proven experience (5 years) as a Video Collaboration Engineer or in a similar role designing implementing and managing video conferencing solutions.

Experience in working with the following cloudbased video collaboration platforms (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams)

Indepth knowledge of video collaboration platforms codecs protocols and related technologies.

Familiarity with video conferencing hardware including cameras microphones and display systems.

Working knowledge of A/V concepts around audio and video signal types routing and cabling

Experience with AV Control systems

Experience with video collaboration services and technologies from vendors such as: Polycom MS Teams Crestron Neat

Experience in working with cloudbased video collaboration platforms (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams)

Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to video collaboration (e.g. SIP H.323 WebRTC).

Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting video collaboration systems including software applications and hardware endpoints.

Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Indepth knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and provide user support.

Knowledge of security best practices and compliance considerations for video collaboration systems.

Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and evolving technology landscape.

Detailoriented with a commitment to delivering highquality solutions and services.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work with a wide array of stakeholders including senior management vendors technical staff and end users
