Registered Nurse - MedSurg Telemetry

Job Title: Registered Nurse MedSurgTelemetry
Location: Rochester New York
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Guarantee Hours: 36 Hours

Duties:
Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical unit
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients health status
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor and document patients vital signs and progress
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Assist with medical procedures including wound care suture removal and IV insertion
Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation
Provide case management and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers
Educate patients and their families on disease management and selfcare techniques

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical/surgical setting
Proficient in using electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth
Knowledge of hospital policies procedures and protocols
Familiarity with medical documentation standards and coding practices
Experience in case management and coordinating care for patients with complex needs
Ability to perform physical examinations and provide occupational health services
Basic life support certification required
