Overview:
The ETL Tester with Python and PL/SQL expertise plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the ETL processes within the organization. They are responsible for testing validating and optimizing data loading and extraction processes to support the organizations datadriven decisionmaking. This role is crucial in maintaining data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute ETL test cases and scenarios
- Identify and document ETL process errors and data issues
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to troubleshoot ETL code
- Automate test cases using Python scripting
- Validate data transformation and aggregation algorithms
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes
- Create and maintain ETL test plans and documentation
- Participate in data validation and reconciliation activities
- Ensure data quality and integrity through comprehensive testing
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of ETL testing methodologies
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to support datarelated initiatives
- Provide input into ETL design and implementation reviews
- Execute data analysis and adhoc queries to support testing activities
- Conduct root cause analysis for ETL failures
- Report test findings and recommend solutions to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL testing
- Proven proficiency in ETL tools and processes
- Strong knowledge of Python for test automation
- Experience in PL/SQL scripting and database querying
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Ability to conduct data analysis and validation
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of data quality and integrity principles
- Ability to work in a collaborative teamoriented environment
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Good understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Certifications in ETL testing or related areas is a plus
