Tax Counsel Fund Investment Programs

Tasks

Responsible for the development of efficient strategies to optimize fund investment programs in collaboration with Legal & Compliance Portfolio Managers and Finance / Professional advice on new investment products multiasset funds PM funds and mandates to ensure tailormade structuring for investors including carry and coinvestment structures / Supporting product development to ensure optimal tax costs opportunities and risks / Responsible for tax risk assessments for committees and senior management / Monitoring policies to control tax risks and ensure compliance / Monitoring complex multicountry investment agreements / Provide legal support for FATCA CRS reporting and analyze tax reporting requirements / Liaise with external lawyers and law firms globally / Monitor new tax developments and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitiveness of tax strategies / Provide support for investor or investor services tax inquiries / Support tax audits.

Requirements

Masters degree in Law Accounting or Taxation / Further education in Tax would be beneficial (LL.M. Tax Expert) tax accounting background a plus / Professional experience in the fund industry / Knowledge of private market fund structures fund tax accounting concepts including partnership tax accounting tax allocations management and incentive fees / Technical knowledge of U.S. tax rules and interest in international tax issues / Experience with tax reporting / Ability to work in a dynamic environment / Prioritize workflow according to internal and external deadlines / Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills / Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds / IT flair and knowledge of tax preparation software tax research tools etc. as well as Microsoft Office / German and English.
