Sr QA Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

With minimal or no direction:

Create test cases for user stories (or other form of requirements documentation).

Create test plans for functional and regression (and possibly performance) testing.

Execute testing and document results in a manner that conforms to the team s documented standards.

Log and evaluate defects identified in the testing and provide appropriate followup until successfully remediated and retested.

Effectively communicate on the testing including the planning preparation execution and results.

Understand when and how to preserve an environment for potential reexecution of a test plan.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience (minimum 3 years)

Understanding of financial concepts (accounts payable general ledger etc.)

Understanding of the SDLC process

Understanding of insurance industry

Understanding of testing concepts

Understanding of Quality Assurance concepts

Ability to be proactive and selfdirect

Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships

Strong attention to detail

Excellent documentation skills demonstrating traceability and best practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills must be a TEAM player

Strong analysis problem solving and test skills

Experience with basic SQL queries

Experience with complex SQL queries

Ability to handle constantly changing priorities

Understanding of Agile concepts

Experience using Jira Confluence and Zephyr

Effective planning and organizational skills

Testing extract transform and load process backend database validations.

Experience with automated testing tools preferably including UFT and Selenium

Experience with performance testing

Experience working across multiple time zones

Experience working with both employees and contractors

Work with and draw from other teams to drive efficiency and optimization (e.g. Test Automation)

Tableau or similar reporting tools.
