We are OCU One Company United. We are currently recruiting for an electrician with panel building experience to join our workshop team which is based in Resolven.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner that will not present harm or danger to others and that all company guidelines and procedures are followed.
Assembly construction and wiring of Control Panels as per drawings including use of hand tools and cutting of control panel apertures as per drawings. Work to be carried out in accordance with Hornbill Workshop Handover Documentation.
Wiring of Control Panels as per drawings.
Work to be completed in allocated build hours.
Identification of any As built drawing discrepancies with Workshop Supervisor or Project Engineer.
Complete Control Panel wiring checks and system testing in line with our Quality System Testing procedures.
Attend site when requested to assist with commissioning or modifications.
Assist other departments when required.
Ensure that all tools and equipment are stored safely and securely.
Ensure that timesheet recording is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Undertake training as required to maintain or develop competency.
Key Skills Required:
Strong understanding of electrical control principles with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Communications skills ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals designers and clients.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools and testing equipment.
Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
Ability to manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
Attention to detail is vital to ensure highquality standards and compliance to regulations.
Mechanical assembly experience.
Busbar fabrication skills are desirable.
Pipefitting skills are desirable.
