Our client a prominent productbased company is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test specializing in mobile applications to join their dynamic team in Bangalore. As an SDET you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our clients mobile applications through rigorous testing and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Appium for mobile applications.
- Execute test cases and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers product managers and designers to ensure highquality releases.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile testing to drive innovation and best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Java programming language.
- Handson experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks such as Espresso (Android) and XCTest (iOS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Understanding of mobile application development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 36 years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years focused on mobile testing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
