Sewing Machine Operator

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric pieces together according to specific guidelines and quality standards
• Inspect garments or textile products for defects and make necessary adjustments to the machine settings
• Follow patterns templates and work instructions to ensure accurate and consistent sewing
• Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines to ensure proper functioning
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor
• Assist in the cutting and preparation of fabric materials for sewing
• Adhere to all safety and quality procedures
• Participate in training and development activities to enhance sewing skills

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a sewing machine operator in a manufacturing or textiles environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines
• Ability to interpret and follow sewing patterns and instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Good handeye coordination and dexterity
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced production environment
• Knowledge of fabric types and characteristics
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
