Assistant Content Manager -Pop Culture

What is expected of you

You can think quickly formulate headlines and identify unique angles on any developments that happen in the Pop Culture niche. Alongside having a solid grasp on all mainstream TV shows films and genres you must also be excellent at tracking events celebrities and other important areas that are newsworthy. You can also manage people ensuring targets assigned to writers and content specialists are being met. You have basic understanding of SEO and know how to use and apply Google trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign articles to writers regularly
  

• Analyze popular socials (Reddit Twitter Discord etc) to discover trending topics
  

• Tracking Google trends for every show understanding of SEO and executing the topic keeping best practices in mind
  

• Curating and maintaining a monthly content calendar
  

• Work closely with content managers in forming the Pop Culture writing teams and subsequently their training and due diligence
  

• Building solid rapport with the writing team actively identifying content problems issues with team members or problems and applying a solution for the same.
  

• Taking responsibility of traffic by ensuring coverage across the board happens in a timely fashion
  

Requirements

• 1 year experience in Pop Culture specifically handling Entertainment Hollywood and Reality TV verticals
  

• Past work samples (if Any)
  

• Knowledge of how Google trends work
  

• Ability to source content from multiple sources (Social media Trends and more)
  

• Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements:
  

• Relevant experience in writing and editing.
  

• Solid understanding of the series TV Shows important industry figures important theories around mainstream shows so far
  

• A good grasp of the English language and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a widespread audience
  

• Understanding of SEO and Social SEO
