We seek a highly experienced and talented Senior Boatyard Project Manager to lead maintenance and renovation projects at our wellestablished San Francisco Bay Area boatyard.

As a key management team member youll oversee all aspects of boatyard operations including fullservice boat engine repair boat maintenance renovations and construction while ensuring the highest safety organization and customer service standards.

As a Senior Boatyard Project Manager your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Be the public face of the organization in the boat shop the first and last contact with the boat owner
  • Monitor safety and ensure safe practices following boat shop procedures
  • Handson repair and workflow management
  • Ensure organization and inventory of the boat shop tools materials and supplies
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business to the next level

As a Senior Boatyard Project Manager your background should include the following:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or General Manager in a boatyard environment
  • Experience in managing budgets 20 or more people and schedules
  • Demonstrated abilities to seek outside expertise when needed or desirable
  • Familiarity with and sensitivity to handling and storing historic vessels in all conditions
  • Experience with boatyardspecific project management software
  • Mariner skills: experience and comfort working on the water and driving boats
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and lead a strong team motivate by being handson rather than an office manager
