NP - Geriatric Medicine

Job Description:

Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Geriatric Medicine to join our team. As an NP in Geriatric Medicine you will provide primary medical care to geriatric patients including assessment development of a care plan in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team provision of direct patient care and evaluation of the effectiveness of the care plan. You will work in a collegial relationship with other healthcare professionals making independent decisions regarding medical needs and health regimens and carrying out medical procedures as indicated.

Responsibilities also include referring patients to medical specialists as needed and managing the care of geriatric patients in nursing homes. You will complete documentation and use appropriate diagnostic coding.

Required:

• Masters degree or higher
• Nurse Practitioner (5 years)
• 2 years of experience in ANY of the following:
• EMR TruChart
• LongTerm Care
• Geriatric Care
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
• American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Pennsylvania (PA)
• American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in Pennsylvania (PA)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) in Pennsylvania (PA)
• CDS in Pennsylvania (PA)
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Pennsylvania (PA)
