Production Manager
Sheet Metal / Fabrication / Welding Experience Required
44k Basic Salary with Anticipated Earnings of 55k

5D Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties. After seeing a sustained period of growth since its buyout eighteen months ago we are looking to recruit a production manager who will report into the Operations Director. Our client specialise in the manufacture of bespoke fabrications enclosures and structural steel used in a variety of industries including pharmaceutical food and the medical sectors.
Due to continued growth we are recruiting for a Production Manager who can not only manage the daytoday production needs but will also be looking to continuously improve policies and processes.
Requirements
What the role will involve for the Production Manager:
Be responsible for the planning of workload including welding and fabrication laser cutting punching and metal forming.
Understand the products workflow and business to help shape the vision for the future.
Man management of the staff including coaching and mentoring staff planning holidays performance appraisals and disciplinary process.
Meet headon and address production challenges.
Update and work with the ERP system.
Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure quality of delivery.
Manage the production plan and communicate workload and priorities to the shopfloor.
Work with the Operations Director to devise implement and enforce H&S policies and procedures.
What we are looking for in a Production Manager:
A background in sheet metal fabrication.
Experience managing sizable teams with the ability to motivate people.
Ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to lastminute changes.
