Job Description

JOB FUNCTION: The Director of Operations oversees the efficiency and costs associated with the operational aspects of the business unit including managing master data files and processing paper bills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  1. Leads and guides the Operations team evaluating and enhancing the performance of team members by setting goals and offering regular feedback and coaching.
  2. Ensures that all processing meets productivity and quality standards; addresses any deviations by analyzing them and implementing corrective actions.
  3. Acts as the primary stakeholder for technology initiatives aimed at improving throughput and accuracy such as OCR/AI/ML and RPA.
  4. Develops staff performance standards in alignment with company objectives and ensures adherence to them.
  5. Designs and implements training processes to equip staff with the necessary skills for their roles.
  6. Oversees and drives results from Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) resources supporting various operations processes.
  7. Maintains appropriate staffing levels to align with processing activity and divisional goals.
  8. Establishes and maintains Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for operational processes.
  9. Implements and utilizes key metrics and performance indicators to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  10. Acts as a resource for resolving processingrelated issues by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  11. Supports the optimization of data and metadata using controlled vocabularies taxonomies thesauri and ontologies.
  12. Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication across all organizational levels and with external parties.
  2. Aboveaverage understanding and experience in the relevant industry.
  3. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Advanced critical thinking and problemsolving skills capable of resolving conflicts and generating results collaboratively.
  5. Experience in influencing and building relationships internally and externally.
  6. Extensive knowledge of data processing systems.
  7. Previous experience with OCR AI ML and RPA preferred.
  8. Understanding of ontology development and the use of controlled vocabularies and thesauri for data management.
  9. Prior experience leading BPO relationships is desirable.
  10. Willingness to travel internationally as necessary.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelors degree in a related field advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 57 years of leadership experience in an operations environment.
