Assistant Content Manager-US Sports

The Opportunity

Location: Remote

Experience: 2 years of experience

Nature of Employment: Contract

• Assist in managing the content strategy and editorial calendar for US sports coverage with a focus on hockey and the NHL.
  
• Coordinate with writers editors and contributors to ensure timely delivery of highquality content across various platforms including website social media and newsletters.
  
• Help ideate and execute creative content initiatives such as multimedia features podcasts and video series to engage and grow the audience.
  
• Monitor analytics and metrics to evaluate content performance and identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
  
• Collaborate with the social media team to promote content and engage with the audience on relevant platforms.
  
• Stay informed about industry trends competitor activities and audience preferences to inform content decisions and strategies.
  

Requirements

• Prior work experience in content management services or coming from an editorial background preferred.
  
• Thorough knowledge of the US sports industry including but not restricted to major leagues such as the NFL NBA MLB NHL and MLS.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with writers editors and other team members to deliver highquality content.
  
• Familiarity with content management systems and tools for tracking and analyzing content performance.
  
• A passion for sports and a commitment to delivering engaging and informative content to our audience.
