Java Backend Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will primarily focus on backend development designing and implementing scalable highperformance applications and services. Your expertise in Java programming and backend technologies will be crucial in driving the development of our core systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  
• Optimize application performance scalability and reliability through efficient code design and implementation.
  
• Implement best practices for software development including coding standards code reviews and automated testing.
  
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and testing environments ensuring timely resolution.
  
• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user interfaces.
  
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
  

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java backend development.
  
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Hibernate).
  
• Experience with building RESTful APIs and web services using frameworks like Spring Boot.
  
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  
• Understanding of software development best practices including version control (e.g. Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
  
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
  
• Familiarity with message queue systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  
• Understanding of frontendtechnologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript.
  
• Certification in Java programming or related technologies is a plus.
