Objectives:
The IT Operations Head is a dynamic technology leader and plays a crucial role in leading technology initiatives to ensure efficient and smooth IT operations within the organization maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity measures and fostering team collaboration. This involves managing the IT operations team including outsourced partner teams managing Service Levels as per Service level agreement (SLAs) or better relationship / stakeholder management Management Information System (MIS) reporting. The IT operations head also plays important role in defining implementing and managing IT operations processes and overall solution design for new requirements.
Responsibilities
Endtoend ownership of IT operations and delivery including solutions design & development technology architecture enablement Infra setup management deployment & release for application & software
Strategy planning for IT applications bridging gap between business expectations and & technology focusing on innovative solutions with process alignment and automation
Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally such as vendors clients and other departments within the organization
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure smooth coordination of BSS operations
Leading digital transformation initiatives with a focus on usercentric design and customer experience
Managing application security focusing on detecting and mitigating vulnerabilities closing audit observations
Resolve any conflicts or issues arising from interdepartmental or external relationships
Gather relevant data from various sources within the department and compile into meaningful reports based on business requirements. Ensure on time and accurate daily / Monthly MIS Reports
Analyze MIS reports to identify trends patterns and areas for improvement and present to senior management highlighting key insights and recommendations
Analyze IT tickets come out with service improvement initiatives and implement them in a timely manner
Work closely with Management crossfunctional teams and IT operations managers to maintain the availability of performance of all IT applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ensure that IT operations expenses are well within AOP budget.
Come out with cost saving initiatives for IT operations and established business goals/objectives
Work with different business functions to understand and capture set and manage the Business expectations and solutions / deliveries
Work with partners to review and validate the Solution design from GO LIVE perspective along with the Cost / effort for the same
Skills and Qualifications
An ideal candidate should have a proven track record in a senior technology leadership role with proven experience in IT BSS delivery and operations management preferably in telecommunications / Cable TV / media domain
Experience in senior level planning; requirements analysis and delivery status tracking ensuring delivery in a timely fashion with focus on mitigating overall business risk
Sound understanding of telecoms OSS/BSS architecture specifically service assurance architecture
Preferably Good understanding of Oracle BRM capabilities both technically and functionally
Good understanding of BSS Architecture including Subscription Real time / batch Rating Product configuration Billing General Ledger Accounts Receivable Payment Handling Taxation Invoicing Customization Discount Configuration and integration with upstream/downstream systems
Understanding of modern application integration paradigms SOAP REST APIs
Knowledge on application performance tuning multi schema deployments Upgrade/Data Migration
Experience and knowledge of Oracle Database basic concepts Oracle 19c PL / SQL Java Web services PHP Scripting languages (perl/python/shell) Microsoft technologies
Knowledge about Infra management like user Access Management Firewall access etc. is an added advantage
Leadership time management facilitation and organizational skills
Knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
Proven stakeholder management and team management skills
Excellent analytical problemsolving oral and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high performance team
