Financial Analyst (Consolidations)

We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst for one of our clients in the mining and metal industry.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $60 to $69 based on experience.
6month contract with strong potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position (4045 hours per week) with overtime during monthend/yearend periods.
Hybrid position: Work 2 days per week at the office.

Responsibilities:
Review and prepare consolidated financial statements.
Post month/quarter/halfyear and yearend consolidation entries in HFM.
Review intercompany eliminations and coordinate with business units across the organization to resolve variances.
Liaise with various finance teams such as FP&A Accounting Tax Treasury etc. to resolve consolidation queries.
Participate in and support various monthly/quarterly/halfyearly and yearly consolidation activities of product groups.
Review and submit Country Statistical Survey reports for Canada UK etc.
Extract reports/data from HFM & SmartView.
Maintain standard operating procedure files.
Monitor submissions from local entities (process monitor report).
Continuously standardize/improve processes with an innovative mindset by leveraging data analytics and digital solutions.
Collaborate with various teams across global locations.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance.
Accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
12 years of experience in consolidation and reporting.
SAP experience is considered beneficial.
Solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP.
Proficient in Excel and database management.
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is preferred.
Analytical and problemsolving abilities including proficiency in variance analysis.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Capacity to collaborate with teams across multiple countries and time zones.
Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) is an asset.
