Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit for a Director of Operations by our client who's a leading supplier of highquality commercial construction building materials committed to delivering excellence in service and products. They specialize in interior finish building materials and aim to meet the diverse needs of their customers in the commercial construction industry.

For this role you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of the building materials company. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring efficiency productivity and continuous improvement across various operational departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with company objectives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Process Optimization: Implement best practices and streamline operational workflows to maximize productivity while maintaining quality standards.
  • Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure reliable sources of materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control measures to uphold product standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage operational budgets identifying costsaving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate various operational projects to drive efficiency and achieve company goals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Operations Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in operations management within the commercial building materials industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of operational processes inventory management and project management.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problemsolving abilities and a resultsdriven mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Previous management/leadership experience is required.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Must have strong desire to succeed and possess a competitive spirit.
  • Must be capable of multitasking with timesensitive projects.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
