Senior accountant

Tasks

As accountant the main emphasis is on tax compliance and reporting as well as establishing the reporting workflow at the newlyestablished enterprise. We are looking for highly qualified chief accountants with experience at companies with foreign trade activities and production.

At the early stages you will be asked to perform the duties of the accountant including the work with primary documentation mutual settlements with suppliers (reconciliation acts); payment orders bank statements; payroll management. As the company grows you will be responsible to establish the accounting team to lead and supervise.

Tasks

Audit and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Ukrainian tax regulations.

• Stay uptodate with changes in accounting standards and governmental import regulations to ensure the companys compliance.
• Coordinate and oversee external audits ensuring all audit requirements are met.

Cash Management:

Manage cash flow to ensure the companys financial stability.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable including credit control and collections.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and present financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders such as management board of directors and government agencies.
• Maintain financial records and ledgers in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Team Management:

Establish supervise and lead the accounting team.

• Assign responsibilities and ensure the teams performance aligns with the organizations goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field; a masters degree (MBA or MSc in Finance) may be preferred.

• Professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA CMA ACCA) is often required.
• Several years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and tax laws specifically in Ukraine.
• Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and problemsolving abilities.
• A high level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Knowledge in tax accounting management of a legal entity LLC general VAT system according to Ukrainian legislation is a must.
