Genesis Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced forward thinking Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with a passion for growth and business transformation for a public sector client in Minnesota. The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of software through careful testing and methodical documentation of outcomes. Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Review and interpret system requirements and user interfaces including HighLevel Requirements Use Cases Process Diagrams Entity Relationship Diagrams and Wireframes.
Design thorough test plans and scenarios for detailed software testing.
Develop and document comprehensive test cases to cover software functionalities.
Determine test entrance and exit criteria to ensure the scope and vision of testing is precise and agreed upon.
Regularly confirm and report on the testing status providing transparency and insight into the QA process.
Offer informed testing estimates to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
Independently organize and prioritize features and test cases to ensure efficient coverage.
Execute various types of testing including functional regression security and accessibility to meet compliance and product standards.
Utilize bug tracking software to meticulously track and report issues providing clear and actionable feedback for development teams.
Generate detailed test reports participating in software review meetings to communicate findings and recommendations.
Engage in continuous knowledge transfer practices with the aim of ensuring standards and methodologies are disseminated among team members.
Proven track record with a minimum of five (5) years experience in a Quality Assurance Analyst capacity preferably within public sector software projects.
At least one (1) year of experience in utilizing a suite of remote collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams Skype SharePoint for effective virtual teamwork.
Specific experience with Accessibility (508 compliance) testing to ensure software accessibility for all users including those with disabilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills able to articulate test plans progress issues and results to project stakeholders effectively.
Aptitude for reading and writing program codes to understand functionalities and pinpoint potential issues.
Proficiency with automated testing tools and the ability to integrate them effectively into the QA process.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience in a range of testing environments including but not limited to web applications mobile applications and enterprise software.
Current knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes.
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a relevant field Required
