The IT Architect will possess a deep understanding of how to align IT strategy with business goals a robust technical aptitude across a range of IT domains and the leadership skills necessary to guide the institution in making sound technology investments for sustainable agile and adaptable operations. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Align IT strategies and plans with the institutions mission strategy and processes documenting these alignments using a variety of architectural models that effectively map current and future technology needs.
Provide technical guidance including road maps principles standards and bestpractices enabling business and IT leadership to balance and prioritize the institutions immediate needs and longterm strategic vision.
Define and articulate the current ("as is") midterm ("to be") and longterm ("future") architecture ensuring it is comprehensively planned to meet evolving organizational demands.
Maintain oversight of the institutions infrastructure security data and application architecture ensuring a secure robust and responsive IT environment.
Analyze business processes and technical requirements to create architectural blueprints that propose solutions to achieve strategic objectives and operational improvements.
Develop a consensusbased enterprise solution that is scalable adaptable and remains consistent with the institutions changing requirements.
Craft and communicate the road map for the evolution of the enterprise applications portfolio including strategies for operating in a bimodal IT framework.
Offer counsel and guidance to IT leadership and the management team regarding contemporary architecture strategies principles and practices.
Engage in knowledge transfer to ensure the IT personnel and leadership are uptodate with the latest architectural practices and technologies.
Proven experience in an IT Architect role within a public sector or large complex organizational setting.
Comprehensive understanding of hardware software application systems engineering and their integration into a cohesive IT architecture.
Strong systems thinking capabilities with a demonstrated ability to conceptualize and analyze big picture enterprise technology landscapes.
Familiarity with IT governance operations and financial modeling as related to IT investments.
Substantial experience in creating and leading the implementation of IT strategic plans and road maps.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field
