Role
As a Quality and Food Safety Executive for a sweet manufacturer your role is pivotal in ensuring that the products meet high standards of quality safety and compliance with regulations. Heres an outline of responsibilities:
Quality Standards: Establishing and maintaining quality standards for ingredients processes and final products.
Quality Control Processes: Implementing procedures for inspection testing and sampling at various production stages.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of quality tests ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Audits and Assessments: Conducting internal audits to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Analyzing data and feedback to enhance processes and product quality.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local national and international food safety regulations (e.g. FSSAI in India).
HACCP Implementation: Developing and implementing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans to prevent food hazards.
Training and Education: Educating staff on food safety protocols hygiene practices and regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identifying potential food safety risks in the production process and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Recall Procedures: Establishing protocols for product recalls in case of contamination or safety issues.
Supplier Audits: Evaluating and auditing ingredient suppliers to ensure their compliance with quality and safety standards.
Specification Compliance: Ensuring that suppliers meet specifications for raw materials and ingredients.
Traceability: Establishing traceability systems to track ingredients from suppliers through production to the finished product.
- Product Development Support:
New Product Testing: Conducting trials and tests for new sweet formulations or variations.
Recipe Standardization: Ensuring consistency in recipes and production processes for quality and taste.
Packaging Compliance: Verifying that packaging materials meet safety standards and preserve product quality.
