Prototype Technician

The Prototype Technician will work primarily in the inflator build bay and support in other prototype areas as needed. This technician will interface closely with Design Engineers Prototype Quality and will report directly to the build bay AMT and Prototype Supervisor. Hours will be approximately 6:00 am2:30 pm MondayFriday with weekday/weekend overtime as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prototype assembly/inspection using build sheet control plan drawing and instructions from Engineers.
• Prototype technician must have great attention with the ability to read and interpret drawings and instructions from Engineers.
• Work with Engineers to provide timely results and feedback during new inflator development.
• Measure and record dimensional and build specific data per Engineer instructions.
• Update electronic records to maintain all build traceability.
• Demonstrate effective positive and timely communication along with good teamwork.
• Maintain Launch and Customer deliverables.

What is required:

• High School Diploma
• Autoliv assembly experience preferred
• AS 412 inspection experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Lotus Notes DB PLM (helpful but not mandatory)
• Understanding of build sheets control plans & blueprint reading
