Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Dock Worker to join our growing team. As a Dock Worker you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments organizing and storing goods and assisting with the overall operations of our dock. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload shipments in a timely and efficient manner according to company procedures

Ensure accuracy and proper handling of all goods being loaded and unloaded

Maintain a clean and organized work area on the dock

Operate machinery such as forklifts pallet jacks and trolleys to move shipments

Assist with the checkingin and labeling of shipments

Report any damaged or missing goods to the supervisor

Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines always including wearing proper protective equipment

Requirements

Previous experience working in a warehouse or dock environment is preferred

Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role

Familiarity with operating forklifts pallet jacks and other machinery is a plus

Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills

Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
