Agilious is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Agile Consulting practice. Our Agile consultants work closely with our customers to support them throughout their project needs. Our goal is to help our clients deliver value quickly and delight their end users by enabling a healthy Agile mindset and practices.

We are seeking an individual with more than 6 years of experience gathering requirements writing user stories and communicating with stakeholders. This individual must have strong Agile
experience. In this role you will have the opportunity to analyze our customers business needs analyze policies and business processes and develop the product backlog in collaboration with
the customer stakeholders Product Owner and development team.

As a Business Analyst you will lead the collection capture and management of mission user needs from prioritization concept development and feature writing to support development and
deployment. Provide expertise in business process and system analysis design improvement and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical
requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for the Business Analyst position include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate closely with product program and policy owners to elicit and understand their business needs define requirements write user stories manage a product backlog and analyze business requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between upstream and downstream teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
  • Present findings recommendations and solutions to clients and crossdependent teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify and understand customer expectations as part of the requirementsgathering process and act as the primary point of contact for all communication needs during the requirementsgathering phase with the customer
  • Provide ongoing support to resolve any issues or questions that arise during the project life cycle.
  • Study existing business processes programs and/or legacy systems in their native environments and perform a comprehensive analysis of existing problems and understand the areas for improvement
  • Making sure solutions are of high quality meeting business and operational performance indicators and delivering great customer experience
  • Lead the creation of User Acceptance Testing documentation (scripts recording documents) and help coordinate the UAT process and any subsequent bug fixes prior to approval and rollout
  • Facilitate reconciliation of differences voiced by the customer with those in the system proposal reducing scope creep or impacts to the delivered systems quality
  • Collaborate with developers and testers by developing test scenarios based on behaviordriven development (BDD) principles
  • Managing requirements traceability information and changes through effective change control processes and tools
  • Prepare project documentation like meeting minutes business process documents and other process workflow diagrams as required.
  • Ensure that previous customer program decisions are reviewed and that new ones are recorded with the stakeholder participating to maintain program focus of extended effortsand continuity if customer or company personnel changes occur.
  • All interested applicants will be required to provide artifacts requirements documentation from previous project(s) that may include user stories user requirements business process documents UAT scenarios etc.
  • Provide insightful narrative and updates to project/program managers for progress reporting and board updates.
  • Support any relevant procurement activities (RFP/RFI/ROM processes) and work with relevant solutions team(s) to communicate requirements and clarify overall understanding of the functionality

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 6 years of experience working with an Agile implementation team writing user stories grooming product backlog planning out release planning.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Technical understanding and Software Development background is required.
  • Experience with coordinating activities between upstream and downstream teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions to clients and crossdependent teams.
  • Possesses a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle of Agile IT projects
  • Handson experience with JIRA MS Office especially Word Excel Visio and PowerPoint
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst specifically working on backend services projects.

Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server(TFS)
Education: Bachelors degree in business and management information systems computer science or other related field Certifications: SAFe Agile and Scrum Master certified preferred
Clearance: Eligible to obtain a public trust clearance
Location: Hybrid part virtual and part inperson in the Washington DC metro area
