Responsibilities:
- Service Engineers are responsible for overseeing the proper installation of lubrication systems or products. This includes ensuring that the equipment is correctly set up and integrated into the clients machinery.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams. Service Engineers assist in troubleshooting issues related to lubrication products machinery or applications
- Conduct training sessions for clients on the correct usage and maintenance of lubrication products. This may involve educating clients on best practices and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Perform regular inspections of lubrication systems to identify any potential issues or areas that require maintenance. This proactive approach helps prevent equipment failures and downtime.
- Carry out maintenance tasks and repairs on lubrication systems. This includes replacing parts addressing leaks and ensuring that the system functions optimally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Service Engineers act as a bridge between the company and its customers ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities inspections and repairs. Proper documentation is essential for tracking the performance of lubrication systems over time and providing insights for future improvements.
- Gather feedback from clients regarding the performance of lubrication products. This information is valuable for product development quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical expertise during the presales phase. Service Engineers may be involved in assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate lubrication solutions.
- Provide remote support to clients when onsite visits are not feasible. This may involve troubleshooting issues over the phone or through online communication channels
Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification of HND or higher in Mechanical or material or metallurgical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in sales engineering or a similar position
- Experience between 3 5 years in a similar position
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade others
- Selfmotivated and goaloriented with a strong drive for results
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Must know how to drive and have a valid driver s license
- Ability to use a CRM software is an added advantage
University degree (Business Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) 5 - 7 years experience in a similar industry. 3 years of which in a supervisory role.
