Job Description

Job Title: Service Manager Premium Car Dealership

Location: Pulborough West Sussex RH20 1AR

Salary: 45000 basic salary bonus OTE 55000

FullTime and Permanent


Our client is an automotive retailer representing prestigious car Brands they have a total of 30 businesses providing sales service and accident repair services across Sussex Surrey Kent and Hampshire.

Established in 1931 they are a successful and progressive thirdgeneration familyowned business.

They are now actively looking to recruit a Service Manager for their premium car dealership in Pulborough.

JOB PURPOSE


The role of the Service Manager is to:


Plan and organise the efficient operation of the service department.


Maintain customer service standards and ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of customer satisfaction indicators within the business.


Ensure sufficient resources are available to meet servicing requirements and regularly review key operating controls (labour efficiency labour sales cost of sales).


Ensure all service processes meet brand standards requirements and that they are implemented in a consistent manner.


Regularly communicate and interact with members of other departments to develop the business and the business team ethos.


Maintain a safe and healthy working environment ensuring staff comply with Health and Safety requirements.



Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence.

Requirements




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Ensure allocated work is correctly programmed and that accurate information is passed to the workshop.


Organise workload to accommodate walkins; coordinate with Workshop Controller.


Ensure flow of work through the workshop is smooth and profitable allocating workload subject to availability and competence of technicians.


Implement monitor and improve work methods to maximise use of available people.


Evaluate workshop efficiency and implement effective workshop loading routines to maximise productivity.


Collect and provide customer data for the dealership marketing database. Sell extra work to the customer explaining the requirement and selling the benefits gain authority to proceed. Agree appropriate vehicle collection and delivery arrangements with customers. Build positive relationships with customers; communicate clearly regularly and promptly particularly with regard to progress updates.


Plan ahead and identify parts required for booked jobs coordinate with the parts department to ensure the parts are available. Communicate clearly regularly and promptly with the HoB/s Aftersales/Service Manager and team and work colleagues including the Workshop Controller to identify extra work and to monitor progress.


Complete invoices accurately clearly and quickly check that all authorised work has been completed handle all forms of payment accurately.
Ensure vehicle health checks are carried out and outstanding work is followedup.


Maintain an efficient reception environment ensuring it is comfortable clean and welcoming. Maintain workshop standards of cleanliness and take corrective action where necessary.


Review weekly/monthly accounts operating controls and composite figures with the service manager make suggestions to improve performance.


Ensure the safety and security of people vehicles and property at all times taking action to resolve any issues.

Skills & Experience: Ideally, you will have 1+ years experience in a similar marketing assistant / executive role Proven and demonstrable experience in copywriting engaging content for online channels, and ideally the press A thorough understanding of the key social media channels with experience using these platforms (personally or professionally) Strong attention to detail and a creative approach The ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively prioritise your workload Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team An enthusiastic personality with the motivation to learn new skills and develop a broad range of marketing skills Good team player, with a willingness to support within other areas of the marketing department, as required Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines Strong multi-tasker, able to handle several projects at the same time Able to use own initiative and manage time effectively Confidence in using the main Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel Knowledge of marketing tools, including Canva, Mail Chimp, Hubspot, and social media scheduling software is desirable but not essential.
