Job Description
- Complete effective and efficient inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, programming and upkeep the fire suppression systems in accordance with AFI, UFC and NFPA standards.
- Shall inspect, maintain, repair, certify and re-certify all “ANSUL” fire suppression systems basewide.
- Shall perform inspections, flow testing and marking of fire hydrants base-wide.
- Shall maintain all records for fire suppression systems and fire hydrants base wise
- Shall maintain a complete inventory of fire systems and fire hydrants (including both proper systems or installations and deficient ones) and shall update the comprehensive inventory as corrective actions occur.
- Shall coordinate the maintenance and repair of all fire suppression systems with the on site customer per the performance work statement.
- Shall prepare and submit written reports after the completion of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system and implement a preventative maintenance plan using automated base systems.
- Shall provide quarterly training in fire suppression systems to Air Force personnel.
- Shall request parts through government established processes, follow up on parts, receive parts and install.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned
