As a junior paving superintendent, you will work alongside our superintendents to coordinate and manage the day-to-day field operations of our paving projects. The position involves coordinating with internal resources, vendors, and employees to facilitate efficient completion of all scopes of work defined in a project, and assistance with onsite documentation for verifications and inspections. The Junior Site Superintendent will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of customer and vendor relationships through consistent communication and prompt responses to any issues that arise. The Junior Site Superintendent position will increase the organization and efficiency of the entire project.
This position is designed to act as an active training position with anticipated promotion to a Superintendent once properly equipped to handle the day-to-day operations of a project.
Heres What You Will Do:
- On-site inspections - Conditions, changes, damages, other variables that impact progress.
- Reporting
- Coordination of subcontractors
- Assist Superintendent in daily work responsibilities and trade contractor supervision and guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree from a fully accredited college in Construction Management or other closely related field; and a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience in project management in the construction industry; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Customer focused and with a high field spirit. Our Junior Superintendent must be a team player with good communication and organizational skills.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license, with an acceptable driving record and have access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work multiple shifts Including nights and weekends as required.
