Job Description
Refrigeration Trailer Mechanic & Welders
Refrigeration and Trailer Mechanics and Welders are needed in Hayward California for a repair shop that is expanding their California operations. Mechanics of various skill sets and backgrounds are welcome to apply. EPA and OEM certifications and training are offered. Mechanics will complete:
- DOT Inspections
- Handle Freon (608 or 609 preferred)
- Preventative maintenance
- Roll-up & Swing Door repair
- Troubleshoot wiring faults
- Repair Reefer Components
- Change out lights
- Fix or change brakes
- Mount and dismount tires
- Ensure units are ready for deployment
- Some welding experience (Steel & Aluminum)
Reefer unit repair experience on ThermoKing or Carrier units is a major asset. Trailer Mechanics will have the opportunity to Train on Carrier and TK units. Must have your own tools, and a valid drivers license. Military mechanics are encouraged to apply. Company training and certifications provided. Pre-employment background checks will be completed.
Compensation
$25.00 to $43.00/hour to start based on experience and skill set.
Full benefits package available. Benefits include; medical, dental, vision, life insurance, vacation, holidays, a 401k 4% match plan, vacation accrual, 8+ paid holidays, and OEM training on reefer units.
Schedule
Day Shifts available. Monday - Friday.
8:00am to 5:00pm
1 hour lunch
Overtime after 8 hours per day.
Saturdays are Overtime days.
Optional on-call rotation available.
