This is a remote position.
The Finance Intern will provide accounting and financial analysis work for theReal Estate Sales Division departments. The Intern will oversee the planning, development and review of financial analysis of portfolio or property operations plans to prepare a highest and best use recommendation or to collaborate with real estate development team members to prepare property for future land development.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
In collaboration with team members, the finance intern will research, analyse, and evaluate scenarios to determine highest and best use case scenarios client can implement utilising their interest in residential real estate, develops, implements, operates, maintains, and controls the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.
Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the division and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
Drafts and implements policies and best practices to support achievement of objectives and required standards.
Draft proposals for new use case scenarios or land development or redevelopment opportunities.
Coordinates the compilation of financial statements, and leases to prepare for investment analysis.
Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance and administration, including technological advances.
Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
Performs other duties as required.
Required skills:
Ability to create and manage a real estate investment analysis overview, or an operations plan, development plan.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide accounting services as detailed in management agreement.
Proficient in use of Spreadsheet applications to organize or analyse investment opportunities, as well as budget creation and analysis software.
Excellent managerial skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Solid written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Motivated to learn real estate business.
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a Real Estate and/or a Finance degree who possesses the desire to work in the real estate industry.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
