General Accountability
Responsible for quality control of credit risk review making suggestions for comprehensive improvement of credit management optimizing and improving credit policies and manuals based on experience and market peer operating standards.
Specific Accountabilities
- Review CRE credit proposals identify potential credit risk ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements make recommendations through submitting a written credit analysis report circulated to Members of the Credit Committee prior to the Credit Committee meeting on the subject lending transaction participate in Credit Committee and contribute expertise to proposal review.
- Responsible for quality control of credit risk review of CRE loans.
- Making suggestions for comprehensive improvement of credit management.
- Optimizing and improving credit policies and manuals based on experience and market peer operating standards
- Provide training and consultation on credit risk identification distressed credit facility handling and new business or products development.
- Provide consultation on other given issues or needs.
Requirements
Requirements
- 15 years of working experience in Canadian banking industry with not less than 10 years professional experience in credit risk management.
- Comprehensive understanding of lending policies and procedures financial analysis principles risk assessment techniques credit deal structuring collateral and security documentation and registration requirement and related regulatory requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of debt restructuring and corporate bankruptcy and insolvency regulations in Canada and the USA
- Effective communications both written and verbal with the ability to provide timely informative and professional credit response.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to change in dynamic fastpaced environment.
- Proactive and selfmotivated individual who is detail oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skill.
- Proficiency in Word Excel and Power Point.
- Fluent English with verbal and written work proficiency is required
- FRM CFA CPA is preferred.
