Job Title: PreSales AV System Designer (Commercial and Hospitality AV)

Position Overview:
The PreSales AV System Designer for Commercial AV & Hospitality will be responsible for designing innovative AV systems that cater to the unique needs of commercial and hospitality sectors. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge creative design and a deep understanding of the latest AV technologies and trends. The ideal candidate will engage with clients and partners to deliver custom AV solutions that enhance commercial spaces hotels restaurants conference centres and more.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive AV systems tailored for commercial and hospitality environments including intricate device placement plans soundscaping 3D visualizations and lighting schemes.
- Create detailed equipment lists (Bill of Materials) scope of work documents proposal quotations and control schedules tailored to commercial and hospitality settings.
- Expertly handle Autocad/Revit CAD software to produce precise and functional design schematics.
- Develop and execute Presales AV Experience design training programs tailored to the needs of System Integrators and industry partners.
- Craft engaging and informative training presentations that convey complex AV design principles in an accessible manner.
- Create training materials that reflect the latest AV technology trends and best practices.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional and aesthetically pleasing AV designs.
- Collaborate with industry partners to understand client needs and devise bespoke AV solutions that elevate the user experience in commercial and hospitality spaces.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of AV technology trends with a focus on innovations relevant to commercial and hospitality industries.

- Accuracy and creativity of AV designs.
- Timeliness of deliverables and adherence to project schedules.
- Client satisfaction as evidenced by feedback and retention.
- Contribution to the growth of CED Africa through successful bids and enhanced partnerships.

Requirements
- Preference for a candidate with a background in Electrical Engineering or related fields with a commitment to fostering diversity in technology roles.
- Significant experience in AV design consulting specifically within the commercial or hospitality sectors.
- Proficiency in Autocad/Revit CAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Certification in the AVIXA design track or similar industryrecognized credentials.
- A meticulous innovative and visionary approach to AV system design with an emphasis on clientdriven solutions.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in creating and conducting technical training sessions.
Strong preference for a female candidate with an Electrical Engineering background, promoting diversity in the field. Extensive experience in Electrical/ELV/AV design consulting. Mastery of Autocad/Revit CAD software and office productivity tools. Current AVIXA design track certification or equivalent industry credentials. Exceptional attention to detail with a creative and visionary mindset in system design. Exceptional communication skils with the ability to craft and present training materials effectively.
