Our client, a prestigious well renowned local Gastro Pub in Somerset are looking for their next superstar General Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pub, including its day-to-day operations, financial performance, customer experience, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the pub operates to the highest standard, providing excellent food, drink, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, control costs, and maximise profitability.
  • Manage and motivate a team of staff, ensuring they are trained to the highest level and providing regular feedback and support.
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, driving engagement and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing laws.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the local community, engaging with local events and organisations.


Requirements


  • Proven track record of high weekly turn over of wet/dry.
  • Experience in running a Premium Gastro Pub
  • 2+ Years Experience in a similar role, ideally in a premium gastro pub environment or fresh food led environment
  • Guest focused and service driven
  • Creative and innovative to drive business development ideas and opportunities
  • Hands on in both the kitchen and front of house management
  • Strong management and leadership qualities with the ability to recruit, train, develop and motivate the team
  • Organised, structured and efficient in all back of house duties and financial reporting.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, food hygiene, and licensing laws.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings.
