Join a renowned healthcare institution as we lead the way in laboratory testing for disease diagnosis and health maintenance. Our cuttingedge client is looking for a Clinical Lab Technologist for their Division of Clinical Pathology utilizes advanced computer technology and stateoftheart automated equipment across multiple sites serving various healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and emergency tests on blood serum spinal fluid and other body fluids using both automated and manual equipment.
- Monitor specimens to ensure timely completion of work and review data before release.
- Report any panic abnormal or critical values promptly.
- Maintain quality control data resolve failures and document actions as per laboratory procedures.
- Prepare reagents manage inventory and communicate with the supervisor as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment maintenance logs.
- Assist with telephone inquiries perform order entry in the LIS system when required.
- Assume individual responsibility for a laboratory unit and provide leadership for technicians.
- Contribute to the training of new employees.
- Maintain a clean work area in adherence to Infection Control guidelines.
- Perform additional laboratoryrelated tasks as directed by the supervisor.
12:00 am 8:30 am Enjoy the rewards of working night shift with a 10% Shift differential!
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a physical science with a preference for medical technology.
- New York State Department of Education Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
- Proficiency in laboratory and hospital information system computers various automated equipment and other tools.

Rate: $48.74
$5000 signon Bonus!
The displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential experience education or other relevant factors.
Perform routine and emergency tests on blood and other body fluids using a variety of automated and manual instrumentation in a timely manner. Maintain equipment and records according to department procedures and regulatory agencies guidelines in the areas of QA and QC. Use independent judgment to solve technical and procedural problems.
