A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Assists in unloading materials, supplies, delivery items
- Inspects items, as to quality and quantity, against freight documents
- Opens, timestamps, separates, and distributes or store
- Counts, weighs, and measures goods received or issued
- Ensures that all incoming and outgoing goods are supported by properly authorized documents such as Receiving Records and Requisitions
- Stocks materials according to a prescribed inventory system
- Monitors expiry dates of stocks and ensures that all goods are used prior to their expiry date. Ensure that all goods without expiry date are strictly issued on a First-In- First-Out basis
- Participates in periodic physical inventories by counting stock
