Test Engineer

This position will be responsible for the test labs at the Tremonton and Promontory Autoliv locations.

What youll do:

Ensure the quality of tests performed and the integrity of data provided

Train Autoliv personnel in test standards test methods and data processing methods

Interact with customers to define test requirements and test schedules

Ensure the safety of laboratory personnel and visitors

Direct the development of new test capabilities

Assist with test part preparation and questions

• Assist test laboratories with technical questions

Assist test laboratories and customers with test correlations (as needed)

Responsible for development documentation and implementation of new test methods

Process data and create plots / overlays for customers as needed

Perform routine data analysis as needed

Perform test data conversion to/from customer format

Approve and create final data packages and prepare and submit test reports

What is required:

Bachelors Degree or above inMechanical or Electrical Engineering

3 years minimum in a related position

Ability to interact professionally with test lab and customers

Demonstrate strong working knowledge of test laboratory operations

Capable of performing routine computer operations involving Windows based software

Demonstrate leadership capabilities

Capable of identifying documenting and correcting data anomalies/ problems

Knowledge of standard test practices and data processing requirements

Programming experience (Visual Basic LabVIEW etc) a plus
