- Experience with drainage and stormwater management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of commercial and residential land development projects.
- Design of stormwater management systems storm drain systems open channel conveyance culvert analysis and floodplain compensation.
- Preparation and compilation of permits and reports for approval by regulating agencies.
- Preparation of construction plans for public and private projects.
- Compile drainage calculations.
- Utilize drainage and CAD software.
- Perform other various tasks involved in preliminary engineering and creation of final design plans.
- Review and seal plans.
- Assist in the project management design and construction observation of projects.
- Participate in the permitting process for projects.
- Coordinate with clients contractors and regulatory agencies.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Capabilities of a Successful Candidate:
- Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project development and document production.
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
- Possesses excellent timemanagement skills thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule budgeting and efficient use of time and resources
- Thorough understanding of codes legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Skilled in CADD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation design software.
- Desirable candidate will have working knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as MODRET ICPR and HYDRAFLOW.
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment creativity and innovation.
- Take initiative on tasks and coordinate with other members of the design team.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Professional licensure in the State of Illinois Missouri or Florida
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Familiarity and Experience with drainage and stormwater management procedures.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and/or MicroStation.
- Ability to perform as a team player in a dynamic work environment.
