Job Description

This is a remote position.

Supports the TL in the preparation of client accounts

  • Day to day data entry of client transactions and preparation of required workpapers and statutory returns under the supervision of the team leader; and in collaboration with the Operations Manager
  • Transaction processing (bookkeeping) payroll BAS/IAS.

Bookkeeping

  • Supports the TL and OM in the performance of their duties;
  • Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system;
  • Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered
  • Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts
  • Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis;
  • Preparation of monthly or Quarterly PAYGW PAYGI or Business Activity Statements including fully reconciled Trial balance workpapers;
  • Prepares Annual Employee Payment Summaries;
  • Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required;
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline;
  • Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with main general ledger account;
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account super and payroll tax);
  • Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance
  • Promptly informs the Team Leader of any issues with accounts
  • Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture;
  • Upholds and promotes the firm s values;
  • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards;

Executive Assistance:

  • Provide highlevel administrative support to executives including scheduling meetings managing calendars and making travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence reports and presentations.
  • Conduct research and compile information for various projects.
  • Assist in project management and coordination.


Requirements

The role s minimum skills include:

  • At least 4 years experience in Bookkeeping or accounting;
  • Basic Skills with XERO MYOB QuickBooks or equivalent;
  • Intermediate Word and Excel skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

Desired Skills or Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification;
  • Familiarity with the Australian Taxation Office portal;
  • Wellhoned bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills
