Job Description:

The QA supervisor will oversee the operations of the Plant QA Department. This individual is responsible for the managing and administration of personnel and staffing requirements. To enforce policies, procedures and controls to assure that all products are prepared according to the company policy in addition to FDA and USDA standards.

Job Functions

• Responsible for Food Safety and to initiate action if any food safety problems arise
  
  
• Ensure compliance for regulations
  
  
• Plan, organize, control and coordinate activities for the QA Department
  
  
• Responsible for all segments of the QA functions either directly or through subordinates
  
  
• Interface with all departments managers to assure that the products, plant operations and facility are compliant with the company and regulatory agencies standards.
  
  
• Keeps leadership informed about problems and opportunities for improvements.
  
  
• Assists leadership in continuous improvement efforts and follow up on corrective action implementation.
  
  
• Ensure that all department personnel are using proper procedures, work instructions, forms, tools and equipment established for the duties they perform.
  
  
• Perform quality audits
  
  
• May also engage in the same work as the employees they supervise.
  

• Provide employees trainings to promote and ensure the hygienic handling of products and other sanitary requirements including HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs.
  
  
• Coordinate with the Pest Control Company for the pest control service.
