IT ConsultantSupport Technician
Job Summary:
The IT ConsultantSupport Technician role is a position to help our small to mediumsized business
customers continue to operate by providing implementation support and remediation services for the
technologies they use to conduct their business. We are looking for candidates with strong customer oriented
consultative and communications skills that also have strong technology and troubleshooting
skills. In this role you will provide onsite support and technology implementation services as well as
remote support for numerous businesses.
Responsibilities:
Visit our customers in the Greater Pittsburgh Area when an onsite presence is needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network related problems independently or with the
assistance of remote personnel.
Implement new technology with the assistance of remote personnel.
Identify technology solutions based on analysis of customer support needs.
Provide remote troubleshooting and remediation.
Strong and consistent communication with customers.
Documenting work performed and other technical information for our clients.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Driver s License and access to reliable transportation
Ability to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues for both desktops and servers
Experience installing and troubleshooting problems on Windows Windows Server Active
Directory DNS
EndUser and Help Desk experience in MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications
Experience in troubleshooting network related issues that can be related to network
infrastructure such as switches and routers
Configuration of TCP/IP settings on network and troubleshooting TCP/IP issues
Must be able to terminate and test Ethernet cabling
Provide own laptop running Windows 10 or greater
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Experience managing cloud based infrastructure on common platforms: Azure AWS etc.
Cybersecurity threat assessment nd network monitoring experience.
Familiarity with scripting program languages (PHP ASP.net Javascript) and HTML
Linux server administration
Familiar with VMWare and HyperV virtualization technologies
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Certifications such as A MCSE MCTS MCITP CNE CCNA CASP are a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to climb a ladder.
