Operations Buyer

What youll do:

Provide purchasing support to the Autoliv Ogden Assembly (AOA)and Autoliv Ogden Service (AOS)Plants

• Manage daily activity & problems related to suppliers to keep the lines running
• Support Design Level Inventory activities at the plant
• Analyze firefight and mitigate supplier issues
• Process Blanket POs and Discrete POs as necessary
• Assist in procurement of service / spare parts
• Escalate critical supplier issues per escalation model
• Lead global allocations as assigned
• Support Quarterly Supplier Capacity Surveys
• Manage Tool Management Center process for NA tools
• Manage Tool Funding Centerand Tooling Budget
• Work with Commodity Purchasing to support local & global strategies
• Work with Tool Control Teams to ensure proper capacities are established & qualified
• Launch new tools as needed to support growth
• Support supplier visits to plant & any face to face reviews

What is required:

• Bachelors degree preferably in Supply Chain Management
• Must have minimum 35 years experience in purchasing reporting systems
• Must have minimum 13 years experience in a Tier One Automotive role
• Must have a working knowledge in MS Applications Word Excel PowerPoint
• Must have strong communication skills a strong work ethic a team player attitude a drive to follow through on commitments proven detailoriented experience and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Planning scheduling experiencepreferred
• Must be an analytical thinking and capable of writing Excel Macros
