Job Duties and Responsibilities
Intake Coordinator
Be the first point of contact with families/client. Meet and greet and obtain necessary information for the intake process (insurance/demographic)
Review referrals and verify all information.
Conduct preassessment questionnaire.
Schedule Intakes with parents review and advise on completing the necessary paperwork.
Verify insurance eligibility for ABA services.
Overall oversite of intake process and case assignment as needed.
Follow up on parent/client concerns and complaints and gathering information.
Assign new staff to clients based on skill location and availability.
Maintain current eligibility for all staff in CR.
Coordinate with HR and Clinical Director to address parent/client concerns.
Coordinate with behavioral therapist scheduling and parent/client to assign and reassign cases as see fit.
Coordinate with behavioral therapist scheduling and parent/client to make sure schedules match.
Provide receptionist coverage when not coordinating Intakes.
Provide reception for walk in clients and urgent phone call referrals.
Cover BT services as needed or assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Therapist
Implement ABA program with consistency and treatment/procedural integrity.
Utilize antecedent intervention procedures (e.g. Premack Principle Noncontingent Reinforcement Functional Communication Training).
Utilize behavior analytic teaching strategies (e.g. task analysis shaping chaining Direct Instruction Discrete Trial Training Pivotal Response Therapy Natural Teaching Environment and Precision Teaching).
Utilize consequence interventions (e.g. reinforcement (schedules) punishment and extinction).
Provide social skills instruction.
Provide authorized services directly to the family and consumer.
Maintain communication with consumers/parents/caregivers through email and phone calls.
Collect review summarize and communicate data (data sheets session notes task analyses ABC data sheets parent goal data etc.) and progress with Program Supervisor.
Maintain communication with Program Supervisor for mastery and new programs on each individual case.
Conducts oneonone consumer/parent/caregiver sessions.
Attend mandatory quarterly staff meetings and professional development trainings.
Report any incidents and communication from the parent to the Program Supervisor
Submits SIR within the same day of incident.
Contact Program Supervisor and Human Resource Department prior to cancellations and in accordance with myHHBS cancellation policy.
Provide consistent and ongoing therapy to clients; no consistent cancellations permitted.
Arrives to scheduled sessions on time and remains for the entirety of the scheduled session.
Renders therapy session with parent signature immediately upon completion of each individual session.
Qualification
Must be Bilingual Spanish
At least an Associates Degree
Proficient in customer service practice management software healthcare documentation benefits verification and community resources
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Sense of urgency around connecting clients to care.
Ability to multitask while meeting all agreed deadlines
Must have at least 6 months experience working with individuals with autism or any developmental disabilities.
Must have basic knowledge of the followings:
o basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis
o behavior analytic learning principles (i.e. reinforcement punishment and extinction) and how they are used to reduce problem behaviors increase appropriate behaviors replacement behaviors and teach new skills.
o ethical guidelines for the practice of applied behavior analysis
o Basic knowledge and implementation of common data collection tools (e.g. frequency rate duration)
Must be selfmotivated responsible honest articulate and be able to work independently and in a team.
Stand sit twist kneel bend over crouch down walk sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time.
Be able to lift push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance from another adult.
Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Fluency with all Microsoft Office programs.
