Accounting Manager

About the business:

The firm has an excellent reputation in delivering a high quality and personable service to a wide variety of businesses and the successful candidate will be responsible for amongst other things networking in the local community developing relationships with a view to bringing on new business as well as having responsibility for having a portfolio of clients including Sole Traders Partnerships and Limited Companies.

Responsibilities:
As an experienced accounts professional you will be responsible for preparing statutory financial records and the management information requested.
You will produce tax computations for their Limited Company customers and provide detailed reports on their accounts.
You will have a background in a similar role and be accustomed to liaising with a variety of companies and individuals accounts communicating the information concisely and ensuring they have a full understanding of any paperwork. It is essential to have recent and thorough Practice background.

About you:
You will be selfmotivated with a positive approach to work you will assist with training other members of the team acting as a mentor to ensure their development is continued and on schedule.

The key skills for the role are Business Development Advisory Audit Tax Client Management and Accounts (experience in tax is not essential).
Further organic growth is restricted by the amount of Director time available prompting a need for a proactive individual to join the business. A future Partnership role is achievable for the right person.
ACCA / ACA Qualified (desirable) proficient in the use of Microsoft packages (Word Excel and Outlook) and it is essential that you have experience of using Sage.

Please note that it is purely Practice Accountancy background that is required for this Senior role.
