Officer purchases

Education and Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, logistics, or supply chain management. A specialized certificate in purchasing management may be beneficial. Good skills in using computers, management programs and ERP systems are essential.

Experience: Previous work in procurement may be required, especially for higher level positions. While some basic jobs may be available to recent graduates or those with little experience.

Communication and interpersonal skills: the ability to interact with suppliers and external companies effectively, and to negotiate and manage relationships skillfully.

Ability to plan and organize: The ability to manage time and resources effectively, and make strategic decisions based on the company's needs.
